The Coaching Carousel

Welcome back to the Define Mid-Major blog! We're excited to be back for a full college basketball season. We've had about enough of college football where more than half the teams have zero chance at a national title when the season begins. We say, bring on hoops! When the games tip off on November 13 Drake has as much of a chance at a championship as Duke, Montana St. is on even footing with Michigan St., and Western Kentucky could make a run at a title just like Kentucky could. It's college hoops, baby, and we can't wait!

The coaching carousel in any sport is interesting, but in college hoops it's down right fascinating. Over the next couple days we're going to take a look at each and every new coach in D-I college basketball in the lead up to the 2015-16 season. We'll make the connections from Tennessee to Chattanooga, from Kennesaw St. to Boston College, and from the Chicago Bulls and OKC Thunder to some of the mid-major-iest teams in the nation. College basketball is less than a week away, and we can't wait to get to the games, but let's first talk about the offseason coaching decisions that will make or break programs for years to come.
